This coil has a built in resistor. Cars that have an external resistor can eliminate it, like the TR Spitfire. This coil is designed for all performance use. You can widen your spark plug gap by .015 when using this sport coil. We also now carry an NGK coil and if you have an electronic ignition you probably need our electronic ignition coil.
