If you're racing with big wide tires, these are good insurance against losing a wheel. The stock 3/8" studs aren't made for the big sticky tires. The full length of these studs is 3" from tip to tip. The threads go all the way down the to knurling. You will have to drill out your hubs to fit these larger studs. You want the hole size to be anywhere from 0.472 to 0.479. 15/32" which is 0.469 will work too.
